The Maryland SPCA’s 11th annual online auction, Shop-a-Paw-Looza, opens at noon on Friday, October 2 and closes at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27. The proceeds from the auction, one of the MD SPCA’s largest fundraisers, help them care for and find homes for more than 3,500 pets each year.
“Last year, through the generosity of people who donated items and people who graciously placed bids, the auction raised close to $40,000,” said Tami Gosheff, MD SPCA special events and outreach manager. “With the community’s support, we know we can raise more money this year and continue our mission of improving the lives of pets and people in our community.”
Since its inception in 2005, almost $450,000 has been raised to provide food, shelter and medical care to homeless pets in the community.
