Weather Delay for Baltimore City Public Schools

Baltimore City Public Schools announced will open two hours later than usual on Wednesday, Feb. 18.

Before-school and half-day early learning programs are canceled, according to the announcement.

School offices will open on time.

It’s the first day this week that Baltimore City schools will be open. On Tuesday, Baltimore City Public Schools and school systems statewide were closed due to snow. On Monday, Baltimore City Public Schools were closed for Presidents Day.

Road Conditions

People should allow for extra time on their Wednesday commute, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority, which reported Wednesday morning: “Icy spots [are] still possible, especially on untreated surfaces.

“Allow extra time and braking distance for your commute. Use caution,” the authority advised.
