1. Today will be mostly sunny with highs in the low 90s and Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph, according to WJLA.com. By evening it will be partly cloudy, and the temperatures will drop to the low 70s.

Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley and U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack have designated this week as National Farmers Market Week. “Every dollar spent on local products supports independent family farmers who contribute to the economic health of the community," O'Malley said in a press release. Enjoy shopping at these local markets.

5. On this day in music history, the photo session for the cover of The Beatles Abbey Road album took place on the crossing outside Abbey Road studios. Photographer Iain McMillan, balanced on a step ladder in the middle of the road, had 10 minutes to photograph the Fab Four navigating the zebra crossing while a policeman held up the traffic.
