The Travilah Elementary School PTA is happy to announce that TRAVILAH MOVES, our first annual Fun Run and Wellness Day, will be held at the school on Sunday, April 29, 2012, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. , rain or shine. TRAVILAH MOVES will be a major community event, with more than 400 children and adults expected to participate. It will include a one-mile Fun Run and a shorter Dolphin Dash for young
children. Health and fitness organizations from the surrounding community will hold demonstrations, offer classes, provide information, and distribute
promotional items.
The primary goal of TRAVILAH MOVES is fun. Families will learn about the benefits of being physically active and eating nutritious meals. Children will enjoy demonstrations from Kicks Karate, Village Yoga, Brit-AM Soccer,
Westleigh Swim and Tennis, Performance Sports Camps, Higher Level Basketball, Studio 310, Wuwei Tai Chi Club, and more. They will hear about making healthy dietary choices from local expert Corinne Shen, and they will be entertained and informed about healthy living by experts from Kaiser Permanente. And in the spirit of staying active, there
will be a moon bounce provided by Backyard Inflatables.
