1 Person, 5 Homes, 7 Vehicles Hit By Gunfire: Police

A Severn man is in the hospital after someone sprayed bullets in town Saturday night. Police are still searching for the gunman.

One Severn resident was injured and five homes struck with bullets when an unidentified man opened fire just before 10 p.m. Saturday.

Anne Arundel County Police say the shots were fired in the 1900 block of Arwell Court in Severn. An 18-year-old Severn man was found in the road with a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.

A total of five homes and seven vehicles were struck by stray bullets, police say. No other injuries were reported.

Numerous officers, including K9 and aviation units, searched the area for the shooter, but didn’t find him.

The suspect is described as a black man, 6’0, 200 pounds, wearing dark clothes, and possibly driving a dark-colored SUV.
