Husband And Wife Died From Gunshot Wounds In Odenton Home

Anne Arundel County Police have released the names of a husband and wife found shot to death in the 2000 block of Brigadier Blvd.

ODENTON, MD — Anne Arundel County Police have released the names of a husband and wife who were found dead, apparently from gunshot wounds, inside their Odenton home. The bodies were discovered in a house in the 2000 block of Brigadier Boulevard about 7 a.m. after someone who lived in the house called 911. Police said there is no threat to the public, but called the shootings suspicious.

The caller told police two people had been shot; fire department personnel pronounced both victims dead. They have been identified as Charles James Edward Jackson, 55, and his wife, Veronique Crystal Jackson, 47, both from the 2000 block of Brigadier Boulevard, police said Sunday night.

Detectives interviewed several witnesses, and police say several family members have cooperated with the investigation. The bodies will be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be completed on Monday to determine the exact cause and manner of death. Preliminarily, authorities say that information from witnesses, coupled with evidence at the crime scene, indicates this was a targeted incident and not a random act of violence.
