No Names Yet of 2 Severn Men Shot in Apparent Argument: Update

Anne Arundel County Police have not yet released the names of two men who were shot Friday night on a Severn street.

Updated at 3:15 p.m. Monday SEVERN, MD — Anne Arundel County Police on Monday said they can still not release the names of two Severn men who suffered gunshot wounds to the upper body following an apparent argument. The men are in stable condition Saturday at University of Maryland Shock Trauma after Friday's shootings.

Authorities say the victims are a 40-year-old from Queenstown Road in Severn, who was shot once, and a 53-year-old man from Hawk Court in Severn, who was shot twice. Both victims are expected to survive.

A police spokesman tells Patch the men were shot in the street after what appeared to be an argument, and investigators are not releasing their names yet.

Officers were called to the area of Pioneer Drive and Reece Road in Severn for the shooting about 6:10 p.m. Friday. Two victims were shot and wounded, while suspects fled the area.

Police have not disclosed a possible motive for the shootings.

Officers searched the area and located the crime scene a short distance away on Pioneer Drive.

Detectives ask anyone with information on the shootings to call the Western District police station at 410-222- 6155.
