Last weekend three men robbed women at gunpoint on Saturday and stabbed a man in separate attacks in Severn. Authorities said Monday they have no reason to believe the two attacks are related.

The first robbery was reported just after midnight Saturday, when police were called to Baltimore-Washington Medical Center for a stabbing report. A man told police he was walking near Pioneer Drive and Arwell Court in Severn when three unknown men wearing dark clothing attempted to rob him.
When he refused to give the suspects money or property, a struggle ensued and the victim was stabbed in the arm.

The second armed robbery was reported about 9:45 p.m. Saturday in the 7800 block of Coldbrooke Drive in Severn, where two women told officers that while they were getting out of their vehicle, they were approached by three men wearing dark clothing. One of the suspects had a handgun and demanded the victims' money and property.

Police say the women complied and the suspects ran from the scene. Several officers, including canine, and a helicopter searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects. The victims were not hurt during the hold-up.
