3 Hurt In Rollover Crash On I-97 Near Severn: Officials
Three people were taken to area hospitals after their SUV rolled over on Interstate 97 near Severn, Anne Arundel County Fire officials say.
SEVERN, MD — Three people suffered serious injuries in a rollover accident on Interstate 97 near New Cut Road Wednesday morning, according to Anne Arundel County Fire officials. The vehicle overturned about 5:15 a.m.
The car’s driver, a 30-year-old man, was briefly trapped in the one-vehicle accident before being extricated by firefighters and taken by paramedics to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. His injuries were listed as serious but not believed to be life-threatening.
Paramedics also took the rear-seat passenger — a 58-year-old man who was thrown from the vehicle during the crash, and the 28-year-old woman who was a passenger in the front seat — to Shock Trauma with serious injuries.

Authorities have not released the names of those involved or said what caused the rollover.
