$50,000 Lottery Winner Bought Lucky Ticket In Millersville

MILLERSVILLE, MD — When an 82-year-old Anne Arundel County resident and his wife popped into Northway Liquors in Millersville to buy an $8 quick-pick ticket, they had no idea their lives were about to change.

While the Sept. 25 drawing didn't yield a jackpot winner, the Anne Arundel resident was fortunate to be one of 40 $50,000 Powerball winners from Maryland. When asked by the Maryland Lotterywhat they plan to do with their windfall, the retirees said they plan to enjoy a night out at their favorite seafood restaurant and "have fun."
