$52K Worth Of Rolex Watches Stolen At Arundel Mills Mall

HANOVER, MD — Authorities are searching for a man who reportedly used a handgun to smash a display case and grab $52,700 worth of Rolex watches. Anne Arundel County Police released surveillance photos of the robbery suspect in hopes that the public can help identify the well-heeled thief.

The smash-and grab was reported about 7:35 p.m. March 24 at the jewelry store, 7000 Arundel Mills Circle, Suite 457, in Arundel Mills Mall. A store employee told police that the suspect entered the store, looked at a display case containing watches, then removed a revolver from his pocket and used it to smash the glass case.

Once the suspect took three Rolex watches he fled the store. The robbery suspect did not threaten anyone or point the gun at customers or employees. The store estimates the total loss of the watches at $52,700.

The suspected robber is described as a black man wearing dark clothing.
