A Glen Burnie man is charged with commercial burglaries in Crownsville and Millersville; police suspect he may have ties to more thefts.

MILLERSVILLE, MD — A Glen Burnie man has been charged with breaking into a garage and a gas station in two communities, and Anne Arundel County Police suspect he is responsible for other area burglaries.
David Lee Tallman, 41, of the 700 block of Snowden Lane in Glen Burnie, was charged Monday with multiple arrest warrants for commercial burglaries, including a break-in Oct. 5 at Harbor Auto Center, located in the 1200 block of Generals Highway in Crownsville. Officers say the thief forced his way into the business and several pieces of repair equipment valued at an estimated $55,000 were stolen.
Detectives from the department’s pawn unit learned that a suspect had pawned several of the stolen items at an area pawn shop and a recycling company in exchange for cash. The stolen items were returned to the business after they were recovered.

Detectives began surveillance of the suspect and on Monday found Tallman and his vehicle near Landmark Road in Glen Burnie, along with stolen property from the burglaries in his possession. After a foot chase, he was arrested and served with multiple arrest warrants for commercial burglaries.
