Drivers stopped to help two injured Anne Arundel County Fire Department crew members after a crash with a tractor-trailer.

Severn, MD — Two Anne Arundel County firefighters were hurt when their ambulance collided with a tractor-trailer rig on Route 170, authorities say.
The department says the accident happened about 7 p.m. Thursday on Route 170 (Telegraph Road) under Route 100 in Severn. The ambulance crew from the Harmans/Dorsey Fire Station was responding to a medical emergency in the Severn area when it was involved in the collision.
Emergency officials say a 36-year old man who was the driver and the 31-year-old male front seat passenger, both ambulance crew members, were the only occupants of the ambulance. There were no other injuries requiring hospital transport as a result of the collision.
