Johns Hopkins Researcher Arrested At BWI Marshall Airport: Report
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security says the researcher was arrested by immigration officers for overstaying her visa.
ODENTON, MD — Fatima Ameaka, a public health researcher at Johns Hopkins University, was arrested Tuesday at BWI Marshall Airport by immigration officers for overstaying her visa, according to a report.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security told CBS Baltimore that Ameaka entered the U.S. in 2023 on a visa that later expired in 2024.
