Old Mill High School has a new principal.
Jim Todd has taken on the role at the school. Todd spent this past school year as assistant principal at North County High School. Before that, he was an administrative trainee and assistant principal at Annapolis High School.
Todd is replacing Sheila Hill, whose service at Old Mill High School included three years as principal. Hill, who has been with Anne Arundel County Public Schools for 34 years, is moving on to work in the county school system's Office of School Performance.

The change is bittersweet for Hill. "The entire Old Mill community will always have a place in my heart, and I will treasure many fond memories of students, families and the wonderful instructors who are so dedicated to guiding students to their full potentials," she said in an e-mail.
Hill is also pleased to have a former colleague take over as Old Mill High School's new principal. She and Todd worked together at Annapolis High School.

"Having worked with Mr. Todd at Annapolis High School, I have tremendous respect for him," Hill said. "Mr. Todd will be a wonderful addition to the Old Mill Community. I know that all who come to know him will be pleased that each decision he makes begins with students in mind."
