Armed Robber Holds Up Severn Gas Station

SEVERN, MD — No injuries were reported during an armed robbery Monday night at the BP gas station, 1604 Annapolis Road in Severn.

An employee told Anne Arundel County Police that a man entered the gas station about 8:20 p.m. and acted as if he were going to make a purchase. When the clerk opened the register, the suspect took out a handgun and demanded money from the register.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store in an unknown direction. A search by patrol and K-9 units failed to find the robber.

Police describe the suspect as a black man, about 5’10, with a medium build, wearing dark clothing at the time of the robbery.
