Arrest Made In Hanover Robbery: Police

Deondre S. Jackson, 21, of Washington, D.C., has been arrested and faces numerous charges stemming from a Hanover robbery.

HANOVER, MD — The Anne Arundel Police Department has made an arrest in the March 9 robbery of a citizen in the 7000 block of Arundel Mills circle in Hanover at approximately 8:20 a.m. A 58-year-old woman was walking to her vehicle when she was approached by a man who pulled out a knife and said something to her she couldn't understand. The man then took off with her purse and fled in a blue Honda Accord, according to a police report.

On March 12, detectives were called to the area of Arundel Mills Circle for a report of a suspicious vehicle fitting the description of the vehicle used by the suspect during the robbery. Upon arrival, officers discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and cocaine. The driver, Deondre S. Jackson, 21, of Washington, D.C., was arrested and charged with robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, theft $100 to under $1,500, reckless endangerment, unauthorized removal of motor vehicle, theft $1,500 to under $25,000, CDS possession with intent to distribute, CDS possession of marijuana 10 grams+ and CDS possession not marijuana.
