Attempted Murder Charge Filed After Shots Fired At Motel
A Hanover man has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly firing a gun outside a Motel 6, Anne Arundel County Police said.

ODENTON, MD — A Hanover man has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly firing a gun at a woman, Anne Arundel County Police said. Officers received a call that Calvin Whalen, 26, of the 1700 black of Forest Creek Drive in Hanover, had fired gunshots at the Motel 6, 1630 Annapolis Road in Odenton.
Witnesses told police that Whalen fired several shots at a woman from a vehicle, then fled the scene. No injuries were reported.
Whalen is charged with first-degree assault, attempted first-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.
