Heat, Great Music and Delicious Food

This Saturday the Chesapeake Steel Drum Band will be performing at the pond behind the Community Center in Piney Orchard from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Steel drums are an instrument that originate from Trinidad and Tobago and they are usually made out of sheet metal.  I think it's absolutely amazing that the performers can make sheet metal sound so magical and relaxing. Clearly, they have a lot more musical talent than I could ever have. This is a return performance for The Chesapeake Steel Drum Band and if you missed last years here is a YouTube clip to view so you know what to expect.   

There are Piney Orchard residents in the Band as well as high schools students to active retired adults.

We will have the heat and the music ready for you, bring a picnic and you'll almost feel like you're on a Caribbean cruise.
