Brawl Over Boom Box Onboard Flight from BWI

Two reportedly intoxicated women weren't happy when passengers on the flight to Los Angeles asked them to turn their music down.

ODENTON, MD — Two reportedly tipsy women on a flight from Baltimore Washington International Airport to Los Angeles refused to turn down their music, sparking a hair-pulling brawl on the plane, authorities say.

Passengers on the Spirit 141 flight recorded part of the mayhem with cell phones.

The women blasting their boom box were asked to turn it down. Their response? To hold up the box and wave it in the air.

At that point, shoving and pulling among at least five women passengers broke out, while a flight attendant tried to break up the fight.

The Los Angeles Times reports the boom box-toting women asked fellow passengers: “What are you going to do?”

FBI agents met the plane when it landed in Los Angeles. There were no arrests, but one person was ticketed.
