Car Overturns In Gambrills Crash, Two Injured

Firefighters extricated a driver from her overturned vehicle following a crash in Gambrills.

GAMBRILLS, MD — Two people were taken to shock trauma early Saturday morning for treatment of injuries they suffered in a two-vehicle accident in Gambrills, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. One vehicle overturned in the crash that happened about 1:35 a.m. at Route 3 South and Capital Raceway Road.

Firefighters extricated a 54-year-old female driver who was trapped in a vehicle turned on its side. She, along with the 42-year-old driver of the second vehicle, were taken by paramedics to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Authorities have not released the names of those involved in the crash, a cause of the accident or said whether charges have been filed.
