Charges Pending Against Biker Hurt In Odenton Crash: Police
An Upper Marlboro motorcyclist driving on a suspended license sideswiped a tow truck in Odenton and was seriously hurt, police say.

ODENTON, MD — An Upper Marlboro motorcyclist driving on a suspended license was reportedly driving recklessly Monday when his bike sideswiped a tow truck in Odenton and he was seriously hurt, Anne Arundel County Police say. Charges are pending completion of the accident investigation.
The motorcycle crash with a tow truck happened just after 5:30 p.m. on Annapolis Rd (MD-175) near MD-32 in Odenton. Investigators say a 2009 Yamaha YZF motorcycle was northbound on MD-175 at a high rate of speed when it crossed the centerline and sideswiped a southbound tow truck. The motorcycle driver — Devon Lamar Miller, 22, of Upper Marlboro — was thrown from the bike and was taken by U.S. Park Police helicopter to the Prince George's trauma center with serious injuries.
A 2005 International rollback tow truck driven by Jordan T. Calabrese, 36, of Pasadena, is owned by Automotive Transport Services, 720-D Generals Hwy. in Millersville. Calabrese was not hurt in the crash, officials say.

Witnesses told police Miller was driving his motorcycle recklessly before the crash, cutting between vehicles and passing where prohibited. Police say the primary cause of the crash is failure to remain right of center and excessive speed. Miller's driver’s license was suspended and he was not licensed to drive a motorcycle.
There were no signs of alcohol or drug use, police say.
