A local family-owned daycare provider is expanding its footprint in the county, with plans to build a new Kiddie Academy location.

GAMBRILLS, MD — Owners behind the Kiddie Academy child care facility are expanding in the county, with plans to build a new location in Gambrills.

Real estate agency Hyatt Commercial said Friday that Elaboost, LLC, a family-owned daycare provider, closed on a deal to buy roughly three acres of commercial land at 909 Saint Stephen Church Road.

"This transaction highlights strong demand for well-located development sites that support essential community services," said William Steffey, who represented the seller of the commercial site. “With approvals secured and sitework complete, the buyer can move forward quickly.”

The planned child care facility builds on several Kiddie Academy locations in Maryland. Bases in the county can also be found in Annapolis, Odenton, and Hanover, among other sites.

Founded in the 1980s, the Kiddie Academy has programs targeted for children up to 12 years old.
