The Community Projects...One Remarkable Journey

Jaiden's journey with RBCF started with The Barber Intern Project (BIP), a partnership between the local nonprofit Rob's Barbershop Community Foundation (RBCF) and Kendrick's Barbershop in Odenton, which he completed as a licensed barber at just 17 years old.

Next came The Arundel Grooming Project, where Jaiden helped RBCF launch and operate a barber and beauty shop inside his own high school!

Then, after graduating in June 2025, Jaiden joined his third RBCF project — the Hair Pair Project — in September 2025. The project is an app that uses AI to match hair care professionals with schools and agencies with populations facing barriers to regular grooming services.

The Hair Pair app suggested 28 schools and agencies he could potentially partner with. Jaiden subsequently made 6 connections through the app, resulting in partnership activities with Hebron Harmons Elementary, Lindale Middle School, and the Baltimore Ravens Boys & Girls Club.

From becoming a licensed barber at 17…to operating a shop inside his high school…to building partnerships in the community through Hair Pair, Jaiden says he finally knows what he wants to do with his life and “This is it!”

Sometimes a project doesn't just create an opportunity. It helps a young person discover a purpose.
