A resident was robbed at gunpoint as he walked from his car to his house, and his credit cards were then used at area businesses.

A Glen Burnie man has been charged with robbing a Crofton man outside his home, police say, while the search continues for an accomplice in the holdup.
A resident was robbed March 20 in the area of Revere Court and Nantucket Drive in Crofton. The 32-year-old victim had just arrived home and was walking to his house from his car when two suspects approached him from behind and demanded money and property.

While one of the suspects pointed a handgun at the victim, the second suspect took items from the victim’s pockets, including his wallet. Both suspects then fled on foot toward Nantucket Road. The victim was unharmed.
Shortly after the robbery, the victim’s credit cards were used at local businesses. Detectives obtained surveillance video from the store and were able to obtain video images of one of the suspects and the suspect vehicle. A flyer seeking the suspect’s identity was shared on the department’s Facebook page and to the police department.

A traffic stop of the vehicle a week later helped detectives develop several suspects and make an arrest for the armed robbery. During an interview with police, the suspect -- Christopher Parr, 29, of 7534 Old Stage Road in Glen Burnie -- reportedly admitted his involvement in the robbery.
Police say the suspect’s DNA was matched with evidence recovered at the crime scene.
On May 1, Parr was charged with armed robbery, robbery, theft less than $100, assault second degree, reckless endangerment, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
The identity of the second suspect is still unknown.
