Driver Thrown From Pickup Truck: Report

MILLERSVILLE, MD — One person was critically injured in a car crash Tuesday night in Millersville, according to Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

Just before 11 p.m., responders were called to the area of I-97 southbound before Benfield Boulevard for a vehicle that had overturned. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Authorities say a pickup truck left the road and rolled over multiple times, ejecting the driver.

A Maryland State Police helicopter landed at the scene and flew the man, estimated to be 50 years old, to Shock Trauma with critical, possibly life-threatening injuries.

The driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
