Grab your partner and try out square dancing. The Swinging Squares square dancing group is holding an open house tonight. There will be free music and square dancing. No experience is necessary, and no advanced registration is required.
Beginner's classes start on Jan. 13. If you are interested in signing up, classes are $15 per couple per week ($7.50 for singles, $5 for teens). Classes will run about 20-22 weeks.
The club caller and class instructor is Virgil Forbes. He is a certified square dance teacher as awarded by Callerlab, the International Association of Professional Square Dance Callers. Virgil has been calling and teaching square dance for more than 30 years. He is also a retired member of the U.S. Navy.
