Finish Strong

As parents we can get a little tired and discouraged, especially with the world in the state that it’s in. But we can’t let ourselves become defeated.

Every season we are in brings special opportunities and challenges with it. Remember what your goals are. Remember why you are where you are. There will be a new season soon.

Whatever season we are in will not last forever. Finish strong!

Not sure what season you are in, or what your goals are. Sometimes taking the time to think about where you are, where you’re headed and set some goals is a big part of the battle. Having a goal gives you purpose! Don’t just drift! Be strong in whatever direction you are heading! These goals trickle down from parent to child. What you do for yourself helps them see what they can do for themselves.

As Karate instructors our school teaches the kids to Finish Strong!

Everything you do, you want to do it to the very best of your ability.

"If it is worth doing, it is worth doing right."

That includes finishing every chore mom or dad asks you to do. That means pushing that bag all the way to the end. That’s having a black belt attitude and having the heart of a black belt — everything you do, you do it the absolute best that you possibly can.

Finish Strong!

As the school year seems to drag on and on, don’t give up! It’s not too late to improve some grades if you’ve been slipping. We want to encourage you to finish strong.

We talk about having good habits all the time. We talk about small decisions that make a big difference over time. When the weather gets nice and we want to be outside with our friends, it can be hard to stick to decisions we made early in the year.

Remember at the beginning of the school year we wanted to make this the best year ever!? Let’s renew that right now so we can finish strong! Make sure you are making the right choices — doing homework before screen time, listening well in class, not getting distracted by what’s going on outside the window! Finish strong!
