Anne Arundel County Council Meeting

When: Monday, 6:30 p.m.
Where: 44 Calvert St., Annapolis

Details: The council will vote on measures allowing for the removal of the county executive or council members if they are convicted of certain crimes or can't carry out the duties of the office.

Fort Meade Restoration Advisory Board Meeting

When: Thursday, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Captain John Smathers Reserve Center, Annapolis Road between 20 and 20 1/2 Streets.

Details: Hear the latest on efforts to clean up environmental problems at Fort Meade, including methane from a dump near Manor View Elementary School and groundwater pollution that has spread into Odenton. The full agenda to the meeting is attached.

Details: Local Democratic club members will host three members of the Anne Arundel County Council, including Jamie Benoit (D-District 4), Peter Smith (D-District 1) and Chris Trumbauer (D-District 6). They'll be chatting about all the issues affecting the county.

Where: Bear's Honeypot, 1113 Odenton Rd., Odenton

Details: Odenton will get a new specialty food and cheese shop when Bear's Honeypot opens near the Stone Circle building. Owner Barret Lang will host a grand opening with a live band, barbeque, raffle and door prizes.
