Five Years Later Quadriplegic's Death Deemed Homicide
An Odenton man who was paralyzed five years ago in a break-in died this summer. This week, his death was ruled a homicide.

The recent death of an Odenton man who was left a quadriplegic after he was shot five years ago during a home break-in has been classified a homicide, authorities said Wednesday.
Michael Anthony Temple, 24, died June 18, 2015, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center for a medical emergency.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore performed an autopsy on Temple. On Tuesday, Oct. 27, the medical examiner ruled the cause of Temple’s death as complications from the gunshot wound he received during the 2010 home invasion/shooting with the manner being homicide.

Temple was shot during a struggle on Feb. 2, 2010, in the 500 block of Williamsburg Lane in Odenton. Investigators say two masked suspects entered the residence, and began to tie up residents when a fight broke out.
During the altercation, Temple was shot and the suspects fled the residence. Homicide detectives continually pursued leads as they came in over the years, police say.

Due to the passage of time, homicide detectives say witnesses might be more likely to discuss the event than they were five years ago. Relationships change, witnesses have moved and may be more comfortable with assisting with the investigation.
