Four Teens Beat, Rob Severn Teen: Police

A 15-year-old Severn boy has been charged in an assault and robbery, while police are searching for three other teen suspects.

SEVERN, MD — A 15-year-old Severn boy has been charged in an assault and robbery of another teenager, while police are searching for three other teen suspects. Anne Arundel County Police say the 17-year-old victim from Severn was taken to a hospital for treatment after the attack.

The victim was beaten and robbed about 8 p.m. Friday in the 8400 block Pioneer Drive in Severn. When officers responded to the area they met with the boy, who said he had been assaulted and robbed by four suspects. During the assault the suspects took the victim's cell phone and coat, along with other property.

During a search of the area, officers saw two of the suspects walking on Pioneer Drive. When officers approached the suspects they ran, but a 15-year-old boy from 8200 block of Marlton Court in Severn was caught by police after a short foot chase. Police say the victim identified the suspect captured by officers as the main person who knocked him to the ground during the assault.

Anne Arundel County Fire Personnel took the victim to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries to his face and back. The suspect was charged as a juvenile with robbery, theft, and two counts of second-degree assault.

Police continue to look for the three other suspects, all teenage boys.
