Grocer Shopper Shuttle Launched In Anne Arundel County
The Grocery Shopper Shuttle operates on Tuesdays for seniors only and is open to all other people on Thursdays. Reservations are required.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Senior citizens in Anne Arundel County who need a ride to the grocery store are able to utilize the county's new Grocery Shopper Shuttle that operates on Tuesdays for seniors only. It will be open to all other people on Thursdays. Space is limited and reservations are required. Passengers will be given 30 minutes to shop and the shuttle service will run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“We are focused on ensuring all of our residents are able to access services during the COVID-19 crisis,” said Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman in a statement. “The Grocery Shopper Shuttle will help seniors and other residents who need assistance to get to the supermarket.”
Reservations should be made by calling (410) 222 -0025. Reservations must be made no less than 24 hours in advance of the Tuesday or Thursday trip. More information is available at www.aacounty.org/transportation.
