Gunshots Fire In Gambrills By Intoxicated Resident: Police
Anne Arundel County Police surrounded a Gambrills house early Sunday after a man reportedly fired a handgun; there were no injuries.

GAMBRILLS, MD — A Gambrills man who was reportedly intoxicated drew a large Anne Arundel County Police response to his house after he allegedly fired a handgun outside the residence. About 2 a.m. Sunday police were called to 1107 Route 3 N for reports a firearm was discharged.
Officers were told an intoxicated man had been shooting a handgun outside his home. The man, later identified as Steven Jay Proctor, 33, was inside the residence alone. He reportedly ignored several attempts by officers to make contact and the department's Quick Response Team was called to the house.
A short time later, officers communicated with Proctor, who left the residence and surrendered without incident. There were no injuries reported.

Proctor, of 1100 block of Route 3 N in Gambrills, was charged with reckless endangerment, discharging a firearm, and disorderly conduct.
