Hanover Dunkin' Donuts Robbed 3 Times, Ellicott City Man Charged

An Ellicott City man has been charged with robbing a Hanover Dunkin' Donuts three times, along with a Severn convenience store.

HANOVER, MD — An Ellicott City man has been charged in a string of armed robberies over the past month that included three separate hold-ups at the same Dunkin' Donuts store in Hanover and a convenience store in Severn. Anne Arundel County Police have arrested Patrick Michael Reynolds, 36, of the 4000 block of Chariots Flight Way in Ellicott City, for five robberies.

Since Jan. 24, authorities been investigating several armed robberies at businesses in Hanover and Severn. The dates and locations of the robberies are:

  • Jan. 24, Michael's, 7665 Arundel Mills Blvd. in Hanover
  • Jan. 24, Dunkin' Donuts, 1348 Ashton Road in Hanover
  • Jan. 24, 7-Eleven, 500 Donaldson Ave. in Severn
  • Feb. 7, Dunkin' Donuts 1348 Ashton Road in Hanover

Detectives were investigating Reynolds as a suspect when another armed robbery occurred on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 23. A white man walked into the Dunkin' Donuts at 1348 Ashton Road in Hanover, implied he had a weapon, and demanded money from the register. The robber took an undisclosed amount of cash, then fled from the business on foot.

Reynolds was detained by police at his residence and the victim from the Feb. 23 hold-up identified Reynolds as the robber.

Police have charged Reynolds with four counts of armed robbery, one count of attempted robbery and five counts of first-degree assault.
