Hit-And-Run Driver In Fatal Odenton Collision Arrested: Police

A driver reportedly fled the scene after crashing into a motorcyclist, who died in the accident. Police have arrested the fleeing driver.

ODENTON, MD — Anne Arundel County Police have arrested a hit-and-run driver who allegedly crossed a center line and fatally struck an oncoming motorcyclist. The accident happened about 3:30 p.m. Friday on Conway Road at Patuxent Road in Odenton, says public information officer Marc Limansky.

The preliminary investigation shows that a passenger car headed southbound failed to stay right of center and struck and killed the motorcyclist coming from the opposite direction. The driver of the car involved in the crash fled from the scene. Helicopter and police k9 units searched for the subject, who was taken into custody.

The road remains closed for crash investigation as of about 4:30 p.m.
