Inaugural West County Restaurant Week Begins March 3

Restaurant Week – a way to connect foodies with local eateries – is common in big cities, and now it’s coming to West County.

The first West County Restaurant Week runs March 3-9, organized by the West County Chamber of Commerce.

“We have a growing restaurant industry in West County and Restaurant Week offers an opportunity to celebrate the burgeoning culinary scene,” said West County Chamber CEO Claire Louder on the chamber’s website. “Many highly-qualified chefs now work in our area, and we are pleased to highlight their excellent contributions by sponsoring this weeklong event.”

Local chefs have created special lunch and dinner menus for the event, reports CapitalGazette.Net. A two-course lunch will cost $14.14 and a three-course dinner will cost $24.14.

Participating restaurants include: 4 Seasons Grille, The Green Turtle Sports Bar and Grille, J. King’s Steak and Seafood Restaurant and Roundz Gourmet Market and Catering in Gambrills; George Martin’s Grillfire and Vivo Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar in Hanover.

The event follows on the heels of the annual Annapolis Restaurant Week, which runs through Sunday, and the Baltimore Restaurant Week, which just wrapped up. 

“I think we have a lot of potential, especially in West County,” Meg McNeil, event coordinator for the chamber, told the newspaper. “As Odenton and the rest of West County grows, I think a lot more restaurants with great chefs will be drawn to the area.”
