Is Severn the Next Place for Big Development?
The latest issue of The Business Monthly offers an update on new projects in Severn, including the development of a mixed-use project near Severn-Danza Park.

I've written a lot about the development of the Odenton Town Center in this space, but it's important to know that there's quite a bit going on just to the north as well.
My friend Mark Smith from the The Business Monthly recently reported on some new plans for development in Severn, pointing out that the area is store.
The magazine quotes county planner Mike Fox in outlining several projects, including a mixed-use development planned near the intersection of Reece and Telegraph Roads. Severna Park-based WolfePack LLC has plans to build on 8.8 acres.

"To be located about a quarter-mile west of CVS and across from Severn-Danza Park at the intersection of Donaldson Avenue and Clark Station Road, the project will be proof that the area is 'finally poised for the growth that has been part of the county’s plan for more than a decade,' Fox said."
Perhaps most importantly, there's a lot of new population to support the new development. Severn's population rose from 35,076 in 2000 to 44,231 in 2010, according to the U.S. Census.
