Man Assaults Couple With An Ax In Odenton: Police
The victims, who were in their 50s, were able to wrestle the ax away from the 33-year-old assailant and hit him with it.
ODENTON, MD —A 33-year-old man assaulted a 50-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man with an ax late Thursday night. Anne Arundel County police officers responded to the call for help at approximately 10:50 p.m. Jan. 9. The incident occurred at the couple's home in the 1300 block of Huntover Drive.
The victims were able to wrestle the ax away from the 33-year-old assailant and hit him with it. All three individuals were transported to an area hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries. Officers determined that the assault was spurred by a disagreement between the suspect and the victims. Charges have been filed but not yet served against the suspect who remains in the hospital.
