Man Charged in Armed Home Break-In, Suspected in More Cases

A Temple Hills teen who threatened Laurel residents with a gun may have committed other crimes in the area, police say.

LAUREL, MD — A Temple Hills man charged with threatening Laurel residents with a gun during a home break-in is suspected of committing similar crimes in the region, say police. Authorities ask for tips from anyone who has tips that link Teshan Dion Jordan, 19, of the 4500 block of Poppe Street in Temple Hills to other crimes.

Anne Arundel County Police were called Oct. 4 to a home in the 300 block of Cecilton South in Laurel for a reported armed home invasion. Several suspects had burglarized the home and threatened the occupants with a handgun before they fled the scene, police say.

Investigators linked Jordan to the incident through forensic evidence and an arrest warrant was issued for him, along with a search warrant for his residence in Temple Hills. Both warrants were served Oct. 11 with help from the U.S. Marshals task force and Jordan was arrested.

Property found in Jordan’s bedroom was stolen during the Laurel armed home invasion, police say.

Anne Arundel County authorities say Jordan is a suspect in burglaries in the region. Anyone with tips or information is asked to contact Detective J. Golas at the Western District police station at 410-222-8777.
