Man Crashes Into Tree Near Millersville, Requires Extrication

MILLERSVILLE, MD — Emergency workers were dispatched July 15 to Route 3 South between Route 32 and Route 175 in Millersville on a report of a man trapped in his vehicle. The 40-year-old man had crashed into a tree and couldn't free himself. It took Anne Arundel County firefighters approximately 20 minutes to extricate the driver.

The man had suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash that occurred at approximately 9:13 p.m., and hewas transported by Maryland State Police medevac helicopter to the R. Adams Cowley Trauma Center in Baltimore. The Anne Arundel County police department is investigating the cause of this incident.
