Man Extricated From Car In Odenton Accident On Labor Day

A 19-year-old sustained serious injuries after crashing his car into a tree near Odenton Sept. 2. Firefighters had to extricate the man.

ODENTON, MD — A 19-year-old man sustained serious injuries in a car accident on Labor Day after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree in the 900 block of Patuxent Road. The accident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Firefighters discovered the 19-year-old trapped in his vehicle and he had to be extricated, which took approximately 10 minutes, according to an Anne Arundel County Fire Department report. Fort Meade Fire and Emergency Services and Maryland State Police Aviation assisted the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. A Maryland State Police medevac helicopter landed at Piney Orchard Elementary School to transport the man to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.
