Man Killed After Fight With Ex-Girlfriend, Her Boyfriend: Police

A man was fatally stabbed after he confronted his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend, police alleged. Officers issued murder charges.

SEVERN, MD — Police alleged that a man was fatally stabbed Saturday after he confronted his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend in Severn. Officers identified the victim and ex-boyfriend as 35-year-old Eddie Dawson Jr. of Odenton.

Authorities listed the suspect and current boyfriend as 26-year-old Dominique Rashad Lewis of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Lewis is charged with first- and second-degree murder, an incident report noted.

The stabbing happened around 2:30 a.m. in the 7000 block of Periwinkle Way, the write-up added. Police mentioned that they found Dawson unresponsive in the road.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department then pronounced him dead, the press release stated. The Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause and manner of death, officers clarified.

Though authorities have already made an arrest, the Anne Arundel County Police Department asked anybody with information to call the anonymous tip line at (410) 222-4700.
