SEVERN, MD — A man was shot and hospitalized Sunday after he tried to buy marijuana in Severn, county police said.
Officers expect the victim to survive. Authorities are still looking for the suspects.
Police said they heard about the shooting in the 8200 block of Consett Court around 10:10 p.m.

Officers said the 22-year-old victim met with a male suspect, intending to buy marijuana from him.
The victim paid, but authorities said the suspect refused to hand over the marijuana.

Police said the suspect then drew a handgun and fired multiple shots at the victim, hitting him multiple times.
The victim fled. Officers said they found the victim in possession of a 9-mm handgun.
Evidence on the scene suggested there may have been a second male shooting suspect, authorities said.
Officers said they found four vehicles that were struck by projectiles.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department is still investigating.
