Man Who Pulled Gun in Parking Dispute Has Been Apprehended: Police
Confrontation occurred at residential community in Severn, say Anne Arundel police.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Anne Arundel County police, with the help of the Maryland State Police and other law enforcement agencies, tracked down and arrested a Westminster man on charges that he pulled a gun during a violent argument over a parking space.
Jason Gilbert Giordano, 41, has been charged with use of a firearm in a violent crime, first degree assault, second degree assault and reckless endangerment, the Anne Arundel County Police Department announced Tuesday. The confrontation occurred on July 16 at a residential community in Severn.
At 2:09 p.m. on that Saturday, officers responded to the report of an armed police impersonator in the 1800 block of Dove Court. The victim said they had driven their vehicle into the community earlier that day and saw a vehicle improperly parked in someone else’s assigned space.

The vehicle's operator, later identified as Giordano, got into an argument and pointed a handgun at the victim, saying he was a federal officer, before fleeing the area, the police said in a weekly report.
Police detectives identified the individual as Giordano, and an arrest warrant was issued. His home address was listed in Carroll County, so the Anne Arundel police requested help from the Carroll County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police Apprehension Team to locate him, the police report stated.

Through their collaboration, Giordano was located in the Annapolis area, the police said. Anne Arundel police detectives, with the assistance of the Annapolis police, then executed a search warrant at 1901 McGuckian St., where Giordano had been staying, and recovered a pellet gun and ammunition that detectives believe was used in the July 16 incident.
This is still an active investigation, and the Anne Arundel police are requesting that anyone with tips or information to contact Det. Franklin Bilbrey #1318 at the Western District at 410-222-6155.
