Marijuana-Growing Operation Found In Burning Odenton House: Police

An Odenton man is sought on multiple drug charges after firefighters found a marijuana-growing operation in his burning house, police say.

ODENTON, MD — An Odenton man faces multiple drug-trafficking charges after Anne Arundel County firefighters found what authorities say was a marijuana-growing operation in his burning house. Firefighters were called to a house on fire about 9:15 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of King Malcolm Drive in Odenton.

According to Anne Arundel County Police, while fire officials were inside the residence, they located what they suspected to be marijuana-growing equipment. Detectives from the Special Enforcement Section Narcotics Unit obtained a search warrant and during a search of the residence they reportedly marijuana, mescaline powder, paraphernalia, and two firearms.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect, Jeffery Stuart Hall, 37, of the 500 block of King Malcolm Drive.

Detectives seized drugs and weapons from the house, including:

  • 229 grams of marijuana with an estimated street value of $4,580
  • 13.66 grams of mescaline powder with an estimated street value of $410
  • Digital scale
  • About 250 empty gel-capsules
  • Del Ton AR-15 .223 rifle
  • 150 rounds of .223 ammunition
  • CZ USA 12-gauge tactical shotgun
  • 62 12-gauge shotgun shells
