Motorcyclist Dies After Severn Crash On MD Route 100: Police
A motorcyclist died after crashing in Severn, police said. The Brooklyn Park driver was 23 years old.

SEVERN, MD — Police said a motorcyclist died after a Tuesday crash in Severn. Officers identified the victim as 23-year-old Delonta Lewis Hill of Brooklyn Park.
The single-vehicle accident happened around 7:12 p.m. on Maryland Route 100 east at Interstate 97 south. Authorities said the driver was traveling quickly toward an overpass at the highway junction, but he failed to round the curve.
The motorcyclist then lost control of his 2009 Yamaha YZFR1 and left the roadway, police said.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department took the man to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie. Doctors pronounced him dead soon after, a press release said.
Officers think the primary cause of the crash was the driver's failure to stay in a single lane.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is still investigating. The case number is 2022-709890.
