Motorcyclist Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries After Serious Severn Crash: Police
Anne Arundel County Police said the 25-year-old motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet when the collision occurred in Severn.
SEVERN, MD — A 25-year-old man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being involved in a serious crash in the Severn community, police said Thursday.
Anne Arundel County Police said the crash took place Wednesday around 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Annapolis Road and Parkside Boulevard.
At the scene, officers determined that the 25-year-old man operating a 2020 Dong Fing CSR motorcycle was speeding while traveling east on Annapolis Road when he collided with a 2016 Ford Escape.

He was driving the motorcycle without lights and was not wearing a helmet, according to investigators.
Authorities said in a release that the 57-year-old Baltimore woman driving the Ford had been turning left toward the Dunkin Donuts at the 2700 block of Annapolis Road when the crash took place.

A 38-year-old Severn woman was also a passenger in the Ford. Neither of the women suffered any injuries, police said.
The motorcyclist remains hospitalized at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
