National Beer Day: Odenton Taphouse To Unveil 3 New Brews, 1 Will Fundraise For Ukraine

ODENTON, MD — An Odenton brewery and taphouse has big plans for National Beer Day, which is on Thursday, April 7.

Crooked Crab Brewing Company will unveil three new beers on the holiday. A portion of sales from one of those brews will be donated to a Ukrainian relief fund. This money will help Ukrainians affected by Russia's ongoing invasion.

The fundraising beer is called Make Peace, Not War. It is a pale ale that clocks in at 5.8 percent alcohol by volume. The label features a dove and a peace sign made of flowers.

The can, which is shown here, will include a message saying:

"This project is a collaboration of local businesses, breweries and the craft beer community coming together with a common goal of spreading peace through beer and art. The label is focused on promoting positivity, connecting people through beer and sending a message of hope."

The other two new brews are named Golf Cart Gremlin and Uno Mas.

Golf Cart Gremlin is crafted for smooth summertime sipping. At 5.6 percent ABV, the American Pale Ale features a citrusy hop flavor.

Uno Mas is a Mexican-style beer brewed with the beach in mind. The 4.8 percent ABV beer has a lemon-lime flavor, making it crisp and refreshing.

Customers can preorder the brews at crookedcrabonline.square.site starting Thursday at 10 a.m. The beer will be available for delivery and pick-up. Fans can collect their beverages at the brewery or enjoy them from the tap after 2 p.m.
