Nothing Final Yet at Superfresh Site

Landlords at the Odenton Shopping Center said they remain in exclusive negotiations with a new grocer to fill the empty spot. And they have finalized a lease to fill part of the former Spunk Fitness space.

Many local residents attended the meeting of the Odenton Town Center Plan Oversight Committee on Tuesday hoping to hear news of what grocer will fill the space once occupied by Superfresh.

They walked away without any answers.

An official from Nellis Corp., which owns the Odenton Shopping Center, said the company remains in exclusive negotiations with a grocer, which he declined to name.

Company representative Pete Federowicz declined to provide a timeline as to when a lease agreement would be finalized.

However, Federowicz revealed that the landlord has secured a lease from a kidney dialysis company to fill about half of the space once occupied by Spunk Fitness.
