Odenton Man Charged With Assault, Robbery in Crofton
A dispute between the victim and the Odenton suspect's family member may be the cause of the recent beating, police say.

CROFTON, MD — A previous dispute may be the cause behind a recent robbery and beating in Crofton that has led to the arrest of an Odenton teen, authorities say.
Anne Arundel County Police responded to the area of the 2000 block of Nantucket Drive in Crofton on June 29 to investigate an assault and robbery.
The victim told police he was walking on Nantucket Drive when three suspects approached him. One of the robbers hit the victim, knocking him to the ground. All three suspects then began punching and kicking the man as he lay on the ground.

Police say the suspects removed the victim’s wallet and his cell phone before fleeing the scene.
Detectives identified the suspect and an arrest warrant was issued for Terreik Taylor, 19, of Odenton.

The robbery was a result of a prior incident involving the victim and one of Taylor’s family members, officers say. An arrest warrant was obtained and on Wednesday Taylor was arrested and served the arrest warrant.
Taylor is charged with robbery, second-degree assault and theft less than $1,000.
